Eagles Fashion Extravaganza

Last Christmas, I hand-picked beautiful gifts and boxed and bowed them up for the wives of the Directors’ of the Eagles Football Club. This year, Eagles Executive Assistant, Anna Durante and Amanda Cox, Chief Financial Officer, decided on a ‘different’ Christmas concept for the ladies. They asked if I would host an in-store workshop. Fab!! I love hosting workshops, as the ladies get so involved!!

To prepare for a workshop, I scour the Fashion Floor and the Basement, in search of the newest, latest, hottest,  ’MUST HAVE’ items currently available in-store. I always consider the general ages and lifestyles of the group and tailor the workshop accordingly. Above, I selected two racks of clothes for the day. One rack was bursting with Cocktail and Party dresses for the festive season. The other rack consisted of casual cafe, and groovy, edgy clothes. I’m wearing a tangello sass & bide jacket, silk CR singlet and harem pants. The black silhouette elongates the body and creates a ‘onesie’ look. Below, is another peek at the outfit.

The trans-seasonal, long-line sass & bide jacket is ‘tux’ shaped at the front, but the rear is long and has a ringmaster appearance. It’s currently available at Myer in two colours, black and cobalt blue. The Urban Sole sandals are also available at Myer and come in white or tan.

Back to the workshop! After mixing, mingling and nibbling on scones and finger sandwiches, the workshop began. First up was Emma-Jane from make-up house, ck one. She talked top sellers, tips and make-up trends such as heavy-set eyebrows. She also gave everyone a goodie bag to take home. Afterwards, the ladies popped downstairs and received a complimentary mini-make-over. I then talked all things fashion! Especially colour, colour and more colour, as well as style and fashion tips. I encouraged the ladies the step out of their comfort zone when dressing and to pop in for a styleover if they wanted some fashion fun or to change their look.

After the workshop was over, the ladies were presented with Myer Gift vouchers. They spied their fave pieces on the rack. Above, Tamara (L) Fran (middle) and Shelley (R) loved the Charlie Brown items.

A really gorgeous group… all enjoyed a browse, a chat and a ‘play’ with the clothes.

I’m really fond of the gals above!! I met Anna (L) and Amanda (R) a few years back when I helped co-ordinate the Eagles Match Day uniforms. They put so much time and thought into making this day a success.

…and the fun continued!! After the Myer workshop, the ladies lunched in style at The Aviary. What a fab Chrissy treat!!
