Tone on Tone

Blending similar tones creates a soft ‘gentle’ tone on tone look. The cooler weather meant a casual wintery, layered outfit was good to go. The wafty, drapy ‘Something Else’ longline cardi (essential if wearing leggings!) is an opping… op shopping treasure. The thrifted, blue/grey, patterned leggings came out of my old wicker storage chest. I also bought them opping years ago and saved them for a rainy day! They’re an off beat label ‘On n’est pas des anges’ (see below), and they’re made in France, so well worth keeping. The Perri Cutten scarf, adds an interesting distraction. Shades by Karen Walker. The cream tee is Ellery and the leather loafers are handmade in Bali. Tip: Go on a mission and hunt down some patterned pants or leggings.

When opping look for unusual, interesting labels….it usually means the clothes will be good quality and quite rare.

We love it when Teagan and her ‘trolley’ pop into Myer. She’s a delightful, talented, Perth based stylist. She regularly comes through Myer to select clothes for photo shoots and catwalk parades. Teagan and I share a passion for Karen Walker shades and all things Ellery …pssst note her fab knee-hi boots!
