Tally Ho

What do you do with last years khakis? You wear them of course! Trends come and go so quickly, it’s hard to keep up. Last year, it was all about the ‘Military’ look.

This year, just dress up your military gear, as seen on the runways in Europe. Think  touches of leather, faux fur, velvet and gold chains. Add a beret and gloves and you’re good to you go. Military chic, now that’s style.

My Manning Cartell jodhpurs and Country Road silk singlet create a khaki silhouette. Black is the accent colour. The black Seduce jacket, from Myer, adds some velvet luxe. It had exaggerated ‘Statement’ shoulders. I unpicked the lining, cut the shoulder pads in half and sewed the lining back up. They’re still big, but not too overstated. Rubber soled riding boots, black duffle bag and ‘just in case’ umbrella, complete the look.

Trio of colours khaki, black and gold. Tally ho!

Hot news at Myer Perth City….we have a new international label on our designer pad. Woo hoo, we’re EXCITED! Alexander McQueen’s, Ready to Wear range, is instore now! Think fluoro purple, chunky zips, waterprint designs, electric blue, hot pink and orange. Do drop into Myer and drool!!!

PS  I will be posting a YouTube McQueen 2012 ‘Military Chic’ clip soon.
