Slouch it

It’s raining…finally! Time to pull the boots and winter gear on. A drizzly beach walk and a vegie, zinger boost at the Wild Fig in Scarborough was a lovely way to wind down after a hectic week.

Knits are trending at the moment!! Loose, long and slouchy or boxy with skinny arms, in shades of mustard, teal or burgundy. This rich, velvety, claret toned, Pilgrim knit above is from Myer. I’ve teamed it with camilla and marc stretch leggings and my thrifted Italian lace-up, black biker boots. These are my all time BEST Ever op treasures. Purchased over 5 years ago and worn lovingly every winter since.

Recently, in my ‘Collar Effect’ post, I highlighted the often forgotten collar area. Another simple way to add individuality to your collar, is to add a brooch. Tip: hunt through gran’s or great aunt’s costume jewellery box for brooch treasures….you’ll be amazed at what you will find.

And here is the outfit…gloves and all. Being a passionate glove collector, I wear them at every opportunity. They add a finishing touch to any outfit. The burgundy stripe, long-line silk/linen shirt from Cue, creates a tone on tone effect. Tan bag and tan gloves attract the eye. Shades by Rayban.

There’s always a buzz in the air at Cue, Myer Perth city. Loyal customers eager to try the latest arrivals, visit regularly. Cue staff are expertly trained in customer service and product knowledge. One of my all-time favourite Cue girls is gorgeous Area Manager, Hannah, above. We love it when she pops into Myer to help out. She showed me the latest Cue collar accessory to ‘jazz’ up a dress or shirt. It’s a lime green, detachable collar and buttoned pleat. It’s all about the collar effect!!
