The Shoe Lounge on the ground floor of Myer Perth City has had a make-over. It’s now showcasing some new international labels and stock is arriving daily. During my break, I headed on down to snap the hottest shoe trends. Above, I’m wearing my much loved patent sandals, as shoe comfort at work is essential. You can’t miss my oversized suede/patent/gold Nina Maya duffle bag!!

WOW!! Lovely to admire! These sky high, Tony Bianco shoes are incredible, but the reality is that most of us simply cant wear them…. move on.

Now that’s more like it! Instead, try a ‘practical’ mid-heel such as the Mollini peep-toe sandals (top) in hot orange. Or alternatively, try these chunky aubergine or reptile heels. Or (bottom) the Robert Clergerie mocha clogs made in France. Tip: These shoes are perfect to wear now with polished toenails and later in winter with thick opaques. Sandals and tights are all the rage overseas.

The chunky heeled cowboy boot is a strong trend yet again for the winter season. Tip: Wear with dresses and skirts, not just jeans and pants.

Rubber soled suede wedge pumps and boots are stylish comfort plus, but expect to pay more for quality.

Hands down the ‘IT’ shoe for the upcoming season is the ‘Day Slipper’ (as it’s known in Europe) or as we call it, the Loafer. Whether you choose vibrant tones such as green or pink, or animal prints, the loafer is nudging out the ballet flat and is a must have.

Treat your feet to a heavenly foot spa! Choose a bold, stand-out nail colour! Clashing with your sandals or outfit is a must!!
