Pop on a Sunfrock!

Summer days are fun and carefree so this little black sass & bide sunfrock comes out season after season. I adore the scalloped edging and have added a kooky shock of fluoro underneath… just for fun! Note the handmade, quirky, tassled, mobile phone holder I picked up in Bali.

I decided my sunfrock was too short these days because I was only comfortable wearing it over my bathers or as a long top over skinny jeans. So I rummaged through my old sewing basket and scrap box. I cut and extended the straps on the frock (see below). A boob tube works well underneath so now I can wear my sunfrock more often.

To reinvent this sunfrock, I cut an old op shop, copper chain belt in half and used it as straps – this became a feature and made the outfit 8 cms longer. The leather tassels were already part of the old chain belt. Try to customise your clothes rather than tossing them out – you’ll be amazed what you can do!
