Pink Princesses Unite

With sun shining, a sea of fluoro princesses and pink fairies stomped up and down the Esplanade to raise money for breast cancer research.

It’s an empowering feeling to unite with special girlfriends and strangers alike, to raise money for a great cause. Everyone was smiling, jovial and proudly talked about their gorgeous mums. This morning’s Mother’s Day Classic 2012, had an extra special meaning for me. It’s a cause close to my heart, as I am a breast cancer SURVIVOR and advocate for early detection.

After 8kms of skippedy dip walking, chatting and chatting some more, we were congratulated with pink tipped bananas, pink medals and then a well deserved….

pit-stop at King Street cafe for coffee, cake and….more chatting!!

Later on in the day, it was precious Henry-time. This one’s for you mum….miss you forever xxx
