Perth Fashion Festival 2012:Floralstyle

After 1 2 3 4 5 6 seven consecutive nights out, I hit the ‘bloggers’ wall! Ker-put!! Hence, no PFF posts for a few days… but my batteries are now recharged and I’m back on track to reminisce and pick up where I left off… The much anticipated Designer Capsule#3, featuring Empire Rose, Breathless and Nikki Loueza.

One of my all-time favourite labels, Empire Rose opened Designer Capsule#3. Having seen their vibrant, range at Styleaid, I knew brights and florals and ‘anything goes’, were the go for the evening! The stretch skinnies (above left), are no name cheapies, but the colour combo caught my eye. Teamed with a black, Bardot singlet, sass & bide cape and dramatic orange coil necklace, I was dressed in a jiffy. The clashing electric blue pouch added attitude! Mariella, Director of PFF (above) delighted us in sass & bide sparkles and stripes!

As the stylish fashionistas arrived in the foyer of Fashion Paramount, I spotted a few familiar faces in the crowd. Could that girl in the fabfun pink, dip-dye wig above, be top model, Sarah Pauley in disguise? You bet! Bottom (L) gorgeous ‘sisters in fashion’, Peggy from et’seq and Wendy from Harry & Gretel, gave girlfriend Louise, a hug. Bottom (R) Patria Jaffries looked stunning in a sheer, midnight blue, ‘Breathless’ silk organza, overlay dress.

The vibe was electric as the show was about to begin. Our fabulous Lord Mayor, Lisa Scaffidi (above), also showcased WA label Breathless. Her Audrey Hepburn inspired, cobalt blue dress, wowed the crowd. (pssst… take a peek at Mariella’s hot, lipstick pink heels!)

Let the show begin in Empire Rose Style!

The clothes speak for themselves! Just add some tribal beads, rope, feathers and sandals and announce, ‘Summer is here!’

Nikki Loueza’s range was toned down and minimalistic. The collection featured layering pieces and clever draping.

Breathless closed the show, with a feminine collection, inspired by the French aristocratic era. Think silk jacquards, peplums and cocoon skirts in rich, royal tones. Tight bodices and wispy tulle layers also featured.
