Kooky PomPoms

As I am still on hols I decided to pop into surprise my husband at his office! Even though it’s a lovely, light, modern place… its not for me! I dont fit into the confines of an office and always make my visits short and sweet. I wore my customised, silk drapey pants. I’ve cut the 10cm zips off the bottom and threaded black ribbon bows thru the newly created hemline. They now sit mid-calf. This cropped length makes the leg look shorter so this style won’t suit everybody. The kooky pompom, nude top is sass & bide and it appeals to me cos its different! My “heavy metal” chain necklace is Country Road and green cardi is David Lawrence from Myer.

These drapey pants are also dropped crotch and are best worn slung low on the hips. This elongates the length of the torso. They’re 3 years old have travelled the world with me. Been washed in hair shampoo and hung in the bathroom to dry. Silk is my all time favourite fabric. Its tuff, doesnt crease and never clings, so its “kind’ around the lumps and bumps.  My outfit was lacking and was screaming out for some colour, so the cardi was added purely to bring it all together.

I also caught up with a friend who’s a fab Cue Visual Merchandiser. She is shapely and knows just how to dress to best flatter her figure. She finds Cue and Veronika Maine really work for her ‘hourglass’ curves. This fun polka dot top is tucked into her A-line skirt which skims the hips and butt and highlights her fab waistline. Flat pumps are perfect for work. Divine!

Here are some of my ‘lip’ makeup loves from MAC at Myer. I blank out my lips with nude “Subculture” Lip pencil. The colour goes on smoothly, lasts longer and doesn’t ‘bleed’. MAC PRO Longwear lipsticks are a little dearer but last all day, so very economical! No need to take them in your bag. Instead just take a lip-pencil with a dab of colour on the tip. Fave colours ‘Shocking Pink – Love Forever’ and ‘Orange Bomb – Good Time’.
