Colour Carnivale

Its true!! Wearing colour makes you feel happy. This season’s trend of bold colour clashing and colour popping has opened the door to allow an ‘anything goes’ attitude towards clothes. This means you cant make a mistake. So splash out of that ‘black’ zone, go wild, give colour a go and have fun creating your own individual outfits.

I’ve had my eye on this polished cotton, Charlie Brown dress at Myer for some time. As soon as it went on sale, resistance was futile. Its vibrant colours, geo-pattern and ‘cut-in’ neck design tick all the boxes for me. The high neck, cinched in waist look, creates the illusion of a bigger bustline (bonus!). The neckbow can also be used as a waist sash and the electric yellow belt is from the Myer Miss Shop. PS Fashion bargains galore at Myer at the moment!!!

Polished feet are very important in summer. It’s very easy to neglect those heels, so pamper tired feet and keep them in tiptop condition. Paint nails outrageous colours (they dont have to match your sandals or outfit) and walk proud! These orange, patent slip-ons were purchased at an Anglicare op shop for $4!!!

Bubbly, Alice received a Christmas styling session gift from her thoughtful mum. We all had a dose of ‘leg envy’ as Alice has long, runway legs. She needed some pants appropriate for her casual office environment ,but that she could also wear out. These tangerine, polished cotton, Country Road capri pants were a perfect choice. They’re tapered – but not that skin tight, sprayed on, nightclub look which is not office fare. She adored this versatile, linen NF/Nicola Finetti ‘boyfriend’ style jacket (exclusive to Myer) and we played around with various other outfit combinations. One happy shopper!
