A Charlie B Visit

It was a pleasure chatting to Charlie Brown at Myer Perth City today. After a big US trip, Charlie popped through on a whirlwind visit to Perth. We chatted about design, shape and the types of styles and features that women really want. Charlie knows her stuff and her enthusiasm is inspirational! It was a great opportunity for me to give her my clients’ ‘Wish List’.

Vintage, vintage vintage …the Esprit, navy checked, capris are ‘20 plus’ years old. I pack them away when I tire, then bring them out again a few years later! Navy never dates and teams well with mustard. Pile on the layers … hence the white singlet, mustard vest, cross buttoned to sass & bide denim over-shirt. Lastly, loads of mixed beads. Layering is tricky. It’s one thing that my clients find MOST challenging. Tip: ‘PLAY’ with your clothes and practise adding pieces ‘underneath’ or ‘over the top’.

Meet gorgeous Karlie. She’s in HR and often works up north. She wanted some ‘going out for drinkys’ clothes and loved this brand new Charlie Brown number. It’s so cleverly designed, is very slimming and can be worn a multitude of ways. Above, it’s worn as a maxi, with the 2 sleeves tied up around the neck. This creates a nice cowl drape at the front. Nude, Jane Debster peep toe shoes, elongate the leg.

A one shoulder look. This dress also can be hitched or belted into a much shorter ‘hot’ mini. It looks great when both arms are featured as well. We created several other different looks and Karlie purchased a skinny orange belt to wear with it. Karlie made my day as she was bursting with new found confidence after her styling session. She couldn’t wait to go out to show off her new wardrobe. Drinky’s anyone??
